Ali Nadir Syed is a distinguished investment banker and principal investor with over 28 years of global experience across corporate finance, investment banking, and private markets. His career spans top-tier institutions such as Citibank, Bankers Trust, and Deutsche Bank, as well as boutique firms like Millennium Finance and Fairfax Middle East. He brings a deep understanding of capital markets, M&A advisory, and private equity investments across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
In addition to his advisory background, Ali has led principal investment initiatives through platforms he co-founded—Capventures and PNO Ventures—focusing on the GCC and Pakistan. He has held CEO and Executive Director roles in several portfolio companies, steering them through phases of growth, turnaround, and market entry. His hands-on operating experience, combined with his financial acumen, gives him a unique vantage point in structuring and executing cross-border transactions.
Ali holds an MBA from the Lahore University of Management Sciences and a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering. With dual British and Pakistani nationality, he brings strategic vision, cultural fluency, and executional excellence to Apolonia Capital’s leadership team.
