Hussain Al Ansari

Hussain Al Ansari is a veteran of the petroleum sector with over 30 years of leadership experience spanning technical, commercial, and strategic roles. He currently serves as Chairman of Hmax Energy, where he advises regional oil companies on operational and commercial strategy. His notable executive roles include Chief Operating Officer of Dragon Oil, where he successfully led the company to reach 100,000 bopd under a Turkmenistan PSA, and CEO of Mubadala Petroleum Services.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Al Ansari was Deputy Vice President at Dolphin Energy, where he was instrumental in structuring the landmark Qatar-UAE gas supply contracts. He has served on the boards of Petrofac Emirates, PSN Emirates, and Turbine Solutions Co., demonstrating his breadth of experience across upstream and midstream operations.

Mr. Al Ansari holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He continues to play an active advisory role across Apolonia’s energy sector transactions, leveraging his technical and commercial insight across the GCC and Central Asia.
