Julien Machot

Julien Machot is a French entrepreneur turned investment banker with over 15 years of experience in private banking, M&A, and structured finance. He is the founder and Managing Partner of VERSO Group, a Luxembourg-based merchant banking boutique managing approximately $4 billion in assets. Under Julien’s leadership, VERSO has executed over $500 million in tech investments and securitized over 45 deals totaling $375 million through its regulated platforms.

Before founding VERSO, Julien held senior roles at Mirabaud and EFG Private Bank in Switzerland, where he built a client book of UHNWIs exceeding $350 million and advised on club deals, mortgage structuring, and family office mandates. He also served as the treasurer of Geneva’s CIG private equity network and actively participated in due diligence for early-stage and growth-stage investments across Europe and the Middle East.

Julien holds dual master's degrees in International Business and Economics and is an alum of executive programs at Harvard and UC Berkeley. His earlier entrepreneurial ventures include founding the MBA Center in Europe and managing strategic alliances across 14 countries. He brings a rare blend of entrepreneurial vision and institutional discipline to Apolonia Capital.
