Ali Nadir Syed is a distinguished investment banker and principal investor with more than 28 years of international experience across corporate finance, investment banking, and private markets. His career includes senior roles at Citibank, Bankers Trust, and Deutsche Bank, as well as leadership positions within boutique advisory platforms including Millennium Finance and Fairfax Middle East. He brings extensive expertise in capital markets, M&A advisory, and private equity investment across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
Beyond advisory mandates, Ali has led principal investment initiatives through platforms he co-founded, including Capventures and PNO Ventures, with a strategic focus on the GCC and Pakistan. He has served as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of multiple portfolio companies, guiding them through growth, turnaround, and market-entry phases. His operational leadership, combined with deep financial structuring capability, provides a distinctive advantage in executing complex cross-border transactions.
Ali holds an MBA from the Lahore University of Management Sciences and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. A dual British and Pakistani national, he brings strategic vision, cultural fluency, and disciplined execution to Apolonia Capital’s leadership.
