H.E. Dr Han Seung-soo is a globally respected statesman and economist, serving as an Advisory Board Member of Apolonia Capital. He is the former Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea and has held a number of senior roles within the United Nations, including President of the 56th Session of the UN General Assembly and Special Envoy of the Secretary-General on Climate Change. His leadership has spanned international diplomacy, global policy formulation, and multilateral coordination, including influential roles within the OECD and in global climate governance.
As Chair of the Global Green Growth Institute and the High-Level Expert Panel on Water and Disaster, Dr Han has led major initiatives at the intersection of sustainable development, environmental risk management, and economic growth. He also serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Standard Chartered PLC, contributing to financial policy and governance frameworks supporting ESG integration, green finance, and climate resilience.
Dr Han holds a PhD in Economics and has received numerous international honours and distinctions, including an honorary Knighthood (KBE). He brings exceptional global stature, policy expertise, and strategic advisory depth to Apolonia Capital’s sustainable investment agenda.
