Julien Machot

Julien Machot is a French entrepreneur turned investment banker with more than 15 years of experience across private banking, M&A, and structured finance. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of VERSO Group, a Luxembourg-based merchant banking platform managing approximately USD 4 billion in assets. Under his leadership, VERSO has executed over USD 500 million in technology investments and securitised more than 45 transactions totalling approximately USD 375 million through its regulated platforms.


Prior to founding VERSO, Julien held senior roles at Mirabaud and EFG Private Bank in Switzerland, where he built and advised a portfolio of ultra-high-net-worth clients exceeding USD 350 million. His advisory work included club transactions, mortgage structuring, and family office mandates. He also served as Treasurer of Geneva’s CIG private equity network and was actively involved in due diligence across early-stage and growth investments in Europe and the Middle East.


Julien holds dual Master’s degrees in International Business and Economics and is an alumnus of executive programmes at Harvard and UC Berkeley. Earlier in his career, he founded MBA Center in Europe and managed strategic partnerships across 14 countries. He brings to Apolonia Capital a rare combination of entrepreneurial vision, structuring expertise, and institutional rigour.
